We are all saddened by the passing of Reg Collins who has been a member of JSPC since the 1980’s.
I first met Reg at Hawthornden Shooting Centre where we practised Practical Pistol after progressing through the various disciplines at the club.
Together we moved to JSPC after that club closed and Reg was a constant attender at all the competitions and meetings there and at other venues like Callander and Tayside.
After the pistol ban, the then JSPC committee disbanded and membership numbers devastated. Reg was one of the few of us who remained to keep the club intact, and to rebuild it into what it is today.
He will be remembered at JSPC for his famous “Reg’s pies” every Sunday and at our Open weekends.
I would like to offer our best wishes to all his family.
