JSPC SPRING OPEN MARCH 31 – APRIL 2, 2023. FINAL RESULTS AND PHOTOS

SATURDAY ATTENDANCE WAS A FULL HOUSE
FRIDAY RANGE CREW DAY ATTRACTED A FEW EXTRA COMPETITORS
SUNDAY TESTED OUR STAMINA

A huge thank you to all the competitors who travelled from all parts of the UK to compete over the weekend.

In summary we had 14 competitions,  50 competitors and 425 Events entered.

Importantly, England were able to produce full teams for GRCF, GRSB, LBP and LBR competitions which allowed the “friendly” Home Countries Matches to produce meaningful results.

Thanks also of course to all the JSPC members who attended all three days, some of whom competed on all those days as well!

Stuart Russell was instrumental in producing target boards and preparing them for the weekend.

Special thanks to Phil Johnston who acted as Chief Range Officer on Friday and Saturday, but was unfortunately unwell on Sunday, when Howard Marshall took over those duties. Further assistance from Leslie and Stuart kept the competitors shooting.

JSPC are very fortunate also to have Doug Green on stats, with admirable help from Angie Forster who (even though a non member) gave up her weekend to drive 100 miles (each way) to give her assistance and expertise.

Dave Nicoll managed the squadding and payments, and we wish him well with his surgery today.

More special thanks to Ian Burton, a relatively new JSPC member who took on the task of providing catering on all three days. Not his everyday job I assure you!! Ian also came to the rescue with his generator on Sunday when our club engine refuse to start.

WE are indeed extremely fortunate to have such dedicated members,

Colin Oswald of course, Chris Douglas, Lea Cooper, Bill Pow, and Robert L Tonner deserve mention.

Two challenges were submitted before the Friday deadline, one was declined as the score card could not be found at the range. (three members checked).
