Remembrance Sunday: A two minutes silence was observed as is our custom to remember all those injured or killed in battle. It is to them that we owe our present freedom and never should they be forgotten.
With the relaxation of Covid Pandemic restrictions, we were able to hold our first “club members” competitions after almost two years. Included were
Precision, Timed and Precision 1 (previously Police Pistol One) and Multi Target (previously Service Pistol B).
I mention those names as the Jack Cruickshank Trophy originated in memory of Jack and the trophy was awarded to the winner of the aggregate of PP1 plus Service B using pistols. We now use the aggregate of Gallery Centre Fire (GRCF) rifles.
To encourage all members, the competitions were open to all firearms to include GRCF, GRSB, Classic rifle, Long Barrelled Pistol (LBP) and Long Barrelled Revolver (LBR).
The day was well attended, though it is very disappointing to see that less than 20% of club members appeared.
Dave Nicoll very kindly agreed to compile the scores and did so in a very competent manner indeed! I expected my usual bits of paper!!
SO, please find attached Excel spreadsheets with much appreciated thanks to Dave. (Hopefully he will become an invaluable member of the competition squad!)
