The more observant of readers will notice the presence of the Veitch and Gordon twins. This was a deliberate case of sabotage, however, thanks to Johan Den Heiger for his assistance in stitching the three days together. Jonny has managed to take centre stage.
The Colmsliehill stage of the championship took place over the weekend 14th – 16th July 2017.
Huge thanks to all the members from JSPC and Aberdeen Clubs who attended over the three days to staff the events. Also to Pauline and Neil for providing catering on Saturday and Sunday. These events could not happen without such support.
Many of our regular competitors were unable to attend, but those that did witnessed some splendid performances at the top, with Chris Douglas and Jonny Cormie creating a first ever tie in the 1020 CF. This will result in a tense “shoot out” at Aberdeen, with the first X to be dropped becoming the “loser”.
ABERDEEN: PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SECTION WILL BE HELD OVER ONE DAY SUNDAY 6TH AUGUST 2017.
It will include 1500 and 25 metre Precision events in both Centrefire and Smallbore Rifles.
The overall aggregate championship scores and prizes will be presented at the “Nationals” at the London and Middlesex Club, Bisley at the end of August.
Norman won the TP1CF with a blistering 300 27X closely followed in second and third places by just one X between the competitors.
Here are the results, and as the usual custom, these will be provisional until any challenges are cleared by the end of this week.
These have been corrected 20.07.2017
