The day was bitterly cold with ice sheets on the ground all over the range. All day!
That did not prevent the hardy JSPC members, the “usual suspects”, partaking in one of the final JSPC championship qualifying matches of 2015.
TP2 has been modified for JSPC to encourage less competitive members to join in the fun, and generous times given for most stages in the event. The 50 metre stage is simulated by using half sized targets for centrefire, though smallbore shooters use the same targets throughout.
A great competition which tests the skills of shooters, at all distances, and their dexterity with speed, sitting, kneeling, strong and weak handed. Oh, and the brain.
Norman again proved his excellence, dropping only 3 points out of a possible 1200 points. Really fantastic performances.
Other shooters did very well too, with only 5 points separating the top five competitors in smallbore.
I do hope that 2016 will see more members making the effort to join in the competitions and maintain the spirit of the club.
