Aberdeen Full Bore Gun Club (AFBGC) hosted the second and final part of the Scottish Gallery Rifle Championship, with the 1500 match being competed in Centrefire and Smallbore.
Fine weather greeted competitors who had arrived from as far as Northumberland, Cumbria, the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh.
With two 1500 matches, this provided up to 3000 points towards the overall aggregate for the Scottish Gallery Rifle Champion, the first “shorts” events having taken place at Colmsliehill in July.
Lara, with some help, provided us with lots of lovely sustaining food and refreshments and made the visit a very pleasant and enjoyable weekend.
Our thanks to Greg for his organisation, Norman for doing the stats, Jonny and others for attending to the range staffing.
Also to the members of AFBGC for preparation work on the range for the weekend.
The competition was thrown wide open when both Greg and Jonny had to pull out due to mechanical and brain function.
I will leave space for them to add to this report!
The scores of the 1500 matches are included here in pdf form, and please contact Greg or Norman if any scores are to be contested, before Saturday 8th August.
The result of the overall champion will be announced, as will the presentation of the prize, at the Nationals at Bisley, at the end of August.
