BISLEY AUTUMN ACTION WEEKEND (AAW) 2013

AAW was held on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October at Melville ranges.

I was invited to fill a car seat with Greg and Glenn from Aberdeen. How could I refuse, even though it meant cancelling a locum engagement! Is that a choice?

The event was reduced to one and a half days because of an expected decline in entry numbers. Personally, I think it created such a problem as many shooters have to travel great distances and it is just not possible to cram all your competitions into a day and a half.

In fact, Greg and Glenn were each bumped from at least two competitions, and that is after travelling 600 miles each way. Add accommodation, food and drink, and that is an expensive weekend.

Enough moaning.

Many of the usual faces were there and the staff and range officers were their usual welcoming selves.

Weather was dull, raining and gusty at times, but that IS October in the UK. St Jude (the storm) held off thankfully until after shooting was finished, but chased us all the way back home on Sunday.

Here are a few photos taken on Sunday when I got a chance between comps.
