FUN SHOOT 17.02.2013

Very many thanks to Colin for designing and printing all the targets and necessary paperwork for the Fun shoot.

Unfortunately, Colin was unable to be present as he had to attend the SPA Annual General Meeting, a very important occasion as he appears to be the lone voice for Gallery Rifle shooters.

As the Scotland Gallery Rifle Squad manager, it is even more important that he attends to support our cause.

At Colmsliehill, the weather was glorious, almost summer, so perhaps that accounted for the small turnout. Nothing prevented Phil J  completing a 180 mile round trip from Northumberland to attend the meeting and we are honoured to have such keen members in our club.

The Fun shoot required 30 shots to be fired (at random) at five targets, but the sting in the tail was that Colin had devised a very obscure scoring system (unknown to the shooters) so that luck was the winner with skill of no real value. Shooters could adopt any position; standing, sitting, rested, supported, so ANYONE  could shoot without hindrance. Plinkers paradise??

Leslie K managed to provide the highest score, note, by pure chance!! He won a chocolate bunny and also proudly collected a bottle of wine kindly donated by Bill V.

Every entrant collected a chocolate egg so no one went home empty handed.

Thanks to all who took part.
