With only seven weeks to go, squadding for the next JSPC Open competition, to be held over the weekend of Fri 14th Sept to Sunday 16th, 2018, is now open.
Attached are three files — the flyer, giving the dates for the competition, the entry form itself, and our privacy notice. Please feel free to distribute these far and wide, in both electronic and paper format. Note that following the introduction of GDPR earlier this year, people who did not confirm that they wished to remain on the distribution list for these event emails will not have received this message, so please do mention it around your club.
Fri 14th Sep is reserved for range officers to shoot their events, before their grueling work over the weekend itself. However, as usual if space permits we will allow competitors to join us on that day if the weekend is not suitable for them. Please just write “FRI” against any event you wish to shoot on that day. You may have to help with range setup…
We prefer electronic entries to this email address (email@example.com), and to help this along, the entry form is a .PDF which can be edited electronically. Alternatively print the form out, write on your entry, and email a scan of your entry form. If you email in your form, you pay when you arrive at the Open. Finally, if you prefer to post, please send entry form and cheque to the address given on the form.
Range crew are asked to complete a form too, and send it in — with GRID, please!
Newcomers to Gallery Rifle competitions are especially welcome — ask for help and advice if you wish it. We promise you an enjoyable and rewarding day!
Squadding information will be emailed out in the week before the event, and posted on the JSPC website (https://jointservicespistolclub.com/). Results will be emailed out on the evening the event finishes, and will also appear on the website.
Our format is as before, except that we are now offering medals to third place for each GRCF Open event (xx03), and medals to third place for the aggregate of these events — so dig out your lever release guns, and enter! Please ensure that you mark the entry form to indicate that you are shooting the xx03 events, so you can be squadded on the right of the range for the convenience of other competitors.
We hope that you can join us, and though we cannot promise perfect weather, September can be a very pleasant month in Scotland, and we certainly do promise you a warm welcome!
